What we collect

When you use our estimator we collect what you give us — your ZIP code, optional home size, photos of your equipment and the equipment details we derive from them (brand, size, age, type), and, if you ask to be matched, your name, email, phone, and the consent you provide. We also collect basic usage and device data through standard web analytics.

How we use it

To generate your cost estimate, to connect you with licensed local professionals when you request it, to communicate with you about your request, and to operate and improve the service.

How we share it — and your "sale/share" choice

When you ask to be matched, we share the information in your request with independent contractor partners so they can contact you about your project. Under California law (CCPA/CPRA) and similar laws, this sharing may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We also use service providers (e.g., hosting, email, analytics) under contract. We do not sell your information for unrelated purposes.

Your choices: You can opt out of this sharing by emailing support@coldacguy.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information." We honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), where applicable. You may also request access to, or deletion of, your information.

Communications

If you provide a phone number and consent, you may receive calls or texts (including automated ones) from us and matched professionals about your project. Consent is not a condition of getting an estimate, and you can opt out at any time.

Retention & security

We keep your information as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, and we use reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
